Wow! This is such a well rounded article. I love the tips about picking the time of day and making sure to eat right. That is huge.

One thing I have found helpful lately is to designate each day for different types of tasks. For example:

Monday: Design
Tuesday: Design
Wednesday: Marketing
Thursday: Design
Friday: Office Tasks (invoicing, accounting, etc..)

This helps keep a good well rounded week.

I bookmarked this article in my del.icio.us feed at the start of the year and just came across it again today. Really great advice, I highly recommend anyone freelancing (or even working at all) to read and implement these ideas. These 5 ideas alone are enough to build a solid time-management strategy.

Establishing a schedule over the long term is one of the harder things to do as a freelancer. If you have work it is important to understand when you need to start looking for new work or accepting new jobs. Juggling multiple projects in different stages will not only keep your income steady but also keep all of your skills sharp.
